Francis holds an LLM from Cambridge University, a Bachelor of Laws degree from Makerere University (Kampala, Uganda) and a Diploma in Legal Practice from the Law Development Center (Kampala, Uganda). He is finalizing his MBA by correspondence from Edinburgh Business School.
Francis is the current president of Uganda Law Society, a Managing Partner at Arcadia Advocates where his primary areas of practice is Commercial law; Trade and Integration Law under which he is team leader of the trade project to support Uganda and Tanzania in implementing the East African Community Common Market Protocol. He has done several consultancies and undertaken litigation on behalf of his clients in many forums including the EACJ.
Francis is also a Research Fellow with the East African Center for Trade Policy and Law; a consortium of experts working at promoting fair-trading polices to enable East Africa trade better.
He is a member and president of Uganda Law Society, the East African Law Society and the Pan African Lawyers Union. He also lectures in the Bar Course at the Law Development Center.
