Kamal is the head of Stephenson Harwood’s Africa and India groups. He specialises in complex, cross-border international arbitration, litigation and fraud and asset tracing. He is highly regarded by his peers and clients in his abilities in multi-jurisdictional disputes and is described by The Legal 500 as a “charming practitioner”.
He acts for governments, government entities, and corporations in a range of matters including those relating to projects and infrastructure, joint ventures, banking and finance and energy.
As a Kenyan, Kamal has a particular interest in East Africa. He is one of the authors ofArbitration in Africa: A Review of Key Jurisdictions (Sweet & Maxwell, 2016).
